Roc Sol’s signature backgrounds are recognizable patterns that many have come across in web3, but they carry a story much deeper than patterns you see on screen. They are fragments of his life, his community, and his journey as an artist.
Origins in Art Therapy
Years before the blockchain, Roc Sol worked for a non-profit teaching music and art therapy to kids in lockdown facilities. His abstract, graffiti-inspired patterns were born in those classrooms. During one of his sessions, the kids gravitated toward his designs, and what began as a simple exercise for the class became the foundation of his entire style. From that moment, Roc carried these patterns with him, continuing to develop and refine them throughout the years.
Web3 Recognition
When Roc entered the web3 space in 2021, he began creating backgrounds for apes and various communities. His distinctive stained-glass graffiti style quickly became recognizable throughout web3, resonating with collectors and creators who appreciated how his art style complemented their photos and PFP’s. He has painted his signature background style on countless of canvases, murals and digital designs throughout the years, connecting with many people around the world through his art.

Over the past couple of years, Roc Sol has designed 500 unique, hand-crafted digital backgrounds—no AI, just his own hands and vision. Each 1/1 piece carries a mood, a memory, or a reflection of his life; representing the good times, struggles, and the resilience to keep going.
Roc Sol’s background patterns are about reframing your perspective. Think of broken glass scattered across the floor: once shattered, many would think it’s too broken to fix. What happens when you try to piece together something that’s broken? It forms a new perspective of what’s beautiful in life. Nothing is perfect, but it’s about working with that you have to make something beautiful. Roc’s patterns reflect that. Each background is fragmented yet whole, transforming brokenness into beauty.

For Roc, the backgrounds are more than visual art. He feels that they represent a coat of armor, a protective shield, and a symbol of strength. Every pattern shines like stained glass catching the light, representing the inner resilience we all carry. They are proof that even in fractured moments, joy can emerge.

The Roc Sol Certified backgrounds collection will launch on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 12pm EST.
The project will be minting exclusively through Blever’s launchpad.

You will be able to mint three backgrounds per wallet.

The backgrounds will be revealed instantly as you mint!

A Roc Sol Certified background costs 38 APE. If you plan to claim two backgrounds, you will need 76 APE. if you plan to max mint all three, you would need 114 APE.
38 APE amounts to $21.52. In case of gas fees, I advise to have at least 40 APE funded into your wallet to mint one background. If you want to max mint all three backgrounds, I advise to fund your wallet with 116 APE to cover any gas fees that may occur, which are usually very low.

To purchase a Roc Sol Certified background, you’ll need a digital crypto wallet. A digital wallet is your digital home for assets like ApeCoin, Ethereum, and NFTs. It allows you to send, receive, store, and display your collectibles.
If you’re new to digital collectibles, don’t worry — here’s everything you need to know to get started.
1. Create a Wallet
To purchase (mint) a Roc Sol Certified background, you’ll first need a crypto wallet.
A wallet is like a digital home for your assets — it stores your ApeCoin, Ethereum, and NFTs.
We recommend starting with MetaMask or Magic Eden.
Important: When setting up your wallet, you’ll be given a seed phrase (12 random words).
Write this down on paper — not on your phone or computer.
Store it somewhere safe.
If you ever lose your wallet, these words are the only way to get it back.
2. Add Funds
To mint a background, you’ll need ApeCoin (APE) in your wallet:
40 APE = 1 background
80 APE = 2 backgrounds
118 = 3 backgrounds

3. Connect to Blever
Once your wallet is ready and funded:
Go to Blever’s launchpad
Click Connect Wallet
Approve the connection
4. Mint Your Background
When the project goes live:
Select how many you’d like to mint. You can mint up to 3 backgrounds.
Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
That’s it — you’re officially part of Roc Sol Certified! 🎉
5. View Your Background
After minting, you’ll see your backgrounds:
Directly in your wallet
On any secondary marketplace that supports ApeChain once you connect your wallet to the marketplace.
6. Which marketplace should I use?
