Meet Roc Sol
VISUAL ARTIST. MURALIST. MUSIC ARTIST. EDUCATOR.
Adrian Gonzalez, known artistically as Roc Sol, creates by one guiding belief: create the world you want to live in. That mission took root years ago when he taught music and art therapy to youth in foster homes and lockdown facilities, where the abstract patterns he drew in those classrooms became the foundation of his signature style.
Today, the Miami-based Cuban-American artist is a professional muralist, illustrator, designer, music artist, and educator whose work centers on community, culture, and connection.
ART STYLE
Roc Sol is known for his large-scale murals, bold black linework, vivid color palettes, and signature stained-glass backgrounds. Working primarily in acrylic and spray paint, he moves fluidly between abstract compositions and contemporary character and portrait work, adapting his style to any vision or design brief while keeping his distinct visual voice.
Rooted in hip hop, street art, and community-focused projects, his work combines powerful visual storytelling with a palette designed to uplift. From walls and canvas to apparel and digital works, every piece is made to energize the space it lives in and the people who experience it.
MURALS
Roc Sol produces large-scale murals, participating in mural festivals while collaborating with brands and organizations on projects that help beautify cities and neighborhoods. He is also the founder of Project Roadmap, an artist-led mural company creating high-impact public art across South Florida and major U.S. cities. Through this platform, he leads and curates a collective of professional artists who collaborate on monumental murals, immersive event activations, and community-driven art experiences.
Roc Sol views murals as cultural landmarks that should be experienced, documented, and celebrated. He has collaborated with nationally recognized brands including Verizon, Simon Malls, Jarritos, and Bored Ape Yacht Club, creating murals that elevate brand storytelling while adding lasting cultural value to the communities they serve.
PAINT BY NUMBERS
Roc Sol also creates custom paint-by-numbers community canvases and murals for events, festivals, and community activations. Guests are invited to paint alongside the artist as he completes the artwork, giving participants the opportunity to contribute and leave their mark on a collaborative piece. These interactive experiences are fully customizable and designed to engage audiences of all ages while creating memorable, community-driven art moments.
EDUCATOR
He is also an educator and Artist-in-Residence with P.A.T.H. (Preserving, Archiving & Teaching Hip Hop), where he teaches youth graffiti drawing classes at the Museum of Graffiti in Wynwood. He guides students as they explore different artistic techniques and create work across a variety of mediums in a welcoming environment that encourages self-expression and creativity. He also partners with multiple nonprofit organizations that help provide cultural and artistic experiences to their communities. He uses art and music as tools for mentorship, creative development, and therapeutic engagement for youth. He actively participates teaching music and art programs in Juvenile Justice Centers offering creative outlets for emotional expression, trauma processing, and behavioral improvement
DIGITAL ART
Roc Sol’s signature stained-glass graffiti backgrounds have become widely recognized in the digital art space. Built from fractured color patterns and bold linework, these designs reflect fragments of his life, community, and artistic journey. Roc Sol began sharing these patterns with online art communities, where his style quickly gained recognition among digital art collectors and creators around the world. This evolution led to the release of Roc Sol Certified, a collection of 500 hand-crafted digital backgrounds created entirely by the artist. Each piece reflects moments of growth, resilience, and the idea that even fragmented pieces can come together to form something strong and beautiful.
MUSIC
Roc Sol is also an independent hip-hop artist and mixed media creator rooted in all four elements of hip-hop culture. Influenced by boom-bap and modern-day hip-hop, he has been a consistent presence in Miami's music scene for over a decade, with a catalog spanning from the underground mixtape Tracksides Vol. 1 (2013) and the conscious Wake Up EP (2018) to his most celebrated work, Solart (2021). Solart is a conceptual album released in collaboration with Grammy-nominated, 3x Billboard Award-winning producer Miami Beat Wave that merges art and hip-hop into one cohesive world, packaged as a lyrical coloring book complete with original illustrations, scannable QR codes, and full song lyrics. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists including ¡Mayday! members Wrekonize and Bernz, Serum, D.U.Ivan, Grammy-nominated Lyonz from Chili Guys, Sekajipo, Grammy and Emmy-nominated artist Alexander Star, DJ Frogie, and DMC Champion DJ Abstru.
